Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all fabric cutting charts assume a Usable Width of Fabric (WOF) of 42 inches (from a standard 44″–45″ bolt with selvages removed).

3. Pre-Wash Shrinkage Tolerances

  • 100% Quilting Cotton: 3% to 5% shrinkage after hot wash / tumble dry.
  • Cotton-Linen Blends: 5% to 8% shrinkage.
  • Cotton Flannel: 7% to 10% shrinkage.
